Wonwell beach is opposite to Mothecombe where the estuary of the river Erme flows into the English Channel between Plymouth and Salcombe, South Devon, England.

Ayrmer Cove, Thurleston, Slapton Ley and the Avon Estuary are a little further along the coast.
