If you are travelling to a special event be sure to get your tickets or passes well in advance.
If you are making a pilgrimage in your own area perhaps you need picnic equipment or special outdoor
wear.
Digital equipment is especially convenient for many aspects of travel. GPS technology can be very
helpful for finding remote sites, while an in-vehicle computer or file storage device makes for easy photo
storage from your digital camera.
If you are travelling internationally you may need to book a travel package or flight and airport parking for
your vehicle, as well as transfers and priority passes if required.
If you need to hire a car at your destination it is well worthwhile to do so before departure, to get the
most competitive prices.
If travelling in your own vehicle you may need to arrange special motor insurance or breakdown cover.
You will certainly need maps, and accomodation as well as international set-up for your mobile phone.
