La Peyre Dermale is a natural stone outcrop situated on a prominent sacred mountain of great power close to Paussac et St Vivien in the Dordogne region of SW France.

This living rock has a diameter of 19m and an average height of 1.5m.
The circular basin of 80cm in diameter and 0.25m deep is served by a serpentine channel which ensures that it is always full of water, even in the driest season.

A second basin with a similar serpentine channel is set into the ground just a couple of metres east of the main megaliths.

The uppermost stone of 1.25m height measures 5.50m x 1.90m.

At the rear of the base stone is a rectangular shelter, just large enough for a person to sit in.

Ceremonial ways lead up to the site from two directions.

Nearby there are several dolmens, including the Dolmen de St Vivien et Paussac
