At Nailhac in the Dordogne, SW France, the church is set at the centre of the tranquil village.

We visited on a warm day in September when the Fête de Patrimoine drew crowds of keen cyclists to enjoy the surrounding rolling countryside after enjoying of an open-air aperitif.
