Mont Dore

Situated at 1050m altitude, Mont Dore is set in the heart of the Massif du Sancy and the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, close to La Bourboule.

The Auvergne is the ancient province which corresponds to several modern "departments", with many mountains of volcanic origin - such as the Puy de Dome, Mont-Dore, and Plomb du Cantal. There are numerous medicinal springs which serve the many thermal spas such as La Bourboule and Mont-Dore etc.

The waters at Mont Dore are prescribed for rheumatism and respiratory problems.
