Cabanas de Tavira is a fishing village in the Algarve, southern Portugal.
Wall shrines to Nostra Senora / the madonna are to be seen above the narrow streets.
Spectacular sunsets are frequent over the Atlantic Ocean beyond the sand bar.
There is a curious "Wish Tree" among the sand dunes which has many shoes hung from it's branches.
