Blesle
Blesle is hidden in a narrow valley far from passing traffic. Originally known as Villa Blasilia (a gaulish settlement) a benedictine
abbey was founded here in the 9th century by Ermengarde, Countess of Auvergne.
In the church there is an intriguing ancient roman statue of the Madonna.
