At Beynac, one of the most beautiful of french villages, the well is set into a well close beside the river Dordogne.
Beynac's imposing fortress is built on a limestone cliff where medieval limestone cottages and cobbled alleys cling precariously.
The mighty river Dordogne rises as a tiny stream on le Mont Dore in the Auvergne region of central France. Passing through many varying kinds of landscape and
