The 12th century chapel of Notre Dame de Bedeau nestles in the valley of the Lousse, beside the meandering D60 road between Daglan & St Pmpont, in the Dordogne region of SW France.

According to the foundation legend, a young shepherdess was surprised to see a bright light over the hamlet of Bedeau. On investigation she discovered the light to be eminating from and illuminating a statue of the Virgin Mary. The chapel was built in her honour.

The pilgrimage takes place each year on September 8th.

The valley setting is very similar to that of la chapelle de St Remy.
